About Us
The Vault is Northern Utah’s premiere 16+ dance club. The Vault was opened as an alternative to the typical bar scene. Because there is no alcohol served at The Vault it allows all adults entry including those under 21. Fridays between 7pm and 9:30pm the vault is open for JR Stomp Night. This is every Friday for ages 12-15. The club closes at 9:30pm then re-opens at 10:00pm for the regular ages.
The Vault is a drug and alcohol free environment and our security works overtime to make sure that it stays that way. The Vault is a great place to dance and socialize without the harassment of intoxicated patrons making continuous unwanted sexual advances. The Vault is appropriate for ages 16 to about 25. Given the fact that we do not serve alcohol, we are not making a ton of money off of all the booze. That is why our cover ranges from $10 up to $20 with certain guest DJ's. This is the only way we can pay for the lights, DJ, security, bar and girl staff. Once you have been to the Vault, you will see where that extra couple of bucks went. The light show is amazing and it's worth a couple of extra bucks for the quality.
So, admission is $5.00 to $15.00 on the weekends at the door but may vary depending on guest D.J.’s etc. The Vault can sell out frequently. Therefore, in order to confirm and guarantee your spot at The Vault, it is recommended that you register and pay online in advance. This is even more important if you are coming from Cache, Salt Lake or Utah County. Doors open at 10pm and the club closes around 1:30-2:00am. The Vault may stay open later for special events at the discretion of the management. The Vault offers ADA accessible entry.
The Vault offers special VIP tables including the old bank vault inside the nightclub. These may be reserved online or at the door if they are still available. These private tables include leather sectionals, comped drinks and flat screen TV’s.
The Vault offers a full bar of non-alcoholic drinks including Pepsi Products, juices, smoothies and a large variety of energy drinks. Energy drink “shots” can be added to any drink for an extra charge. Drinks range from $1.00 to up to $3.00 for premium drinks.
There is an Oxygen Bar at the Vault and special packages can be purchased at the Bar.
There is NO re-entry to The Vault for the general admission. However, ONLINE they are offering a $15 Premium Admission for the reduced price of a $7 when you reserve in advance. This will include a special wristband and re-entry. There is an outdoor patio at The Vault, and patrons 19+ may smoke outside in this designated area.
There is a dress code at The Vault. Violent and deviant behavior will not be tolerated. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Management will eject anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner and that individual will be permanently banned from The Vault. (see dress code tab on the website)
The Vault uses smoke and laser shows including strobe lights and an intense light show. Please use caution if you are medically unable to tolerate this type of activities.
Come on out and enjoy a great night on the town. The music on Friday and Saturday nights is typically an urban HipHop feel with Jerkin' Music mix with a 12:30am "sexy time" slower music from 12:30-1am. Then we let loose with higher energy Reggaeton and HipHop for the last Hour. Don’t miss it!

TX: Inside The Vault
By Jenny Mead (TX)
Jan 17 2010
As my ride pulled up to the curb of The Vault on Kiesel Avenue and I set my foot on the sidewalk, I could hear the building I was about to enter vibrate from the thunderous bass line of the music playing inside. I was giddy with excitement! The little girl inside me squealed and jumped up and down.
After I regained my composure, I weaved through the velvet ropes and smiled at the tank of a security man. He lifted the rope and opened the door to the club for me. I paid my money and opened the next door that led into the actual club.
It was MAGNIFICENT! It was completely dark except for the lasers and other lights, the music was loud and EVERYONE was dancing in the middle of the room. I must admit, just walking from the door to a wall lined with stools, I was jamming out!
I sat on a swivel stool and planned my next move. After a while, I decided to check the place out. While checking, I discovered the (bald)head of security, D.J. Millet, who showed me around and told me a little bit about the Ogden dance club which opened in May.
The place used to be a bank. They refurbished the building but it still has the original vault inside it -- hence the name. And you can actually rent the inside of the real vault for VIP parties.
Millet took me inside the actual vault and it's so cool in there! There are leopard-print chairs and Love Sacs (which are like bean bags except about five times bigger, and filled with foam, not beans), and a huge flat screen TV with a massive stereo system. When you are inside the vault, you can lock it, too! It's thoroughly awesome.
Club rules are pretty strictly enforced, Millet said, but not many people break the rules. Most of them are common sense, like no weapons, etc. Others include no basketball shorts, jerseys or bandanas. There are also behavior-related rules such as no horseplay and no "dirty dancing."
One of the Club Managers said they wanted "to create a place where kids couldn't get in trouble." There is really nothing to get in trouble with at The Vault, unless you start choking on the free pretzels in the bowls on the counter.
The Vault is all about fun, but to keep it fun, they have to keep it safe. There are incredible precautions taken to ensure safety (you can use these to convince your parents to let you go). Precautions such as wanding (like they do in the airport) and bag checks. Plus, big security guards that are really intimidating, lurking around waiting for rule breakers.
Dance party
Well, enough of that serious mumbo jumbo. Let's get down to fun! The Vault is FUN! There is so much music, and everyone is dancing, except those on the black leather couches taking a breather, or those on the porch out back, cooling off from working their hot moves.
The whole time I was there, I was dancing one way or another. Even when I was talking with people, you better believe I was swaying and singing along in my head. At The Vault, you dance. That's just the way it is. I was sitting down to take a call, and someone I didn't even know came up to me and dragged me to the dance floor!
Pretty much everyone I interviewed at The Vault likes the place.
Jessica Bennett, a junior from NUAMES, said it was "pretty cool" and that "there were a lot of good people."
A Northridge High School graduate who likes to be called "Duke" (his real name is Andrew Parker) said after he "won" a dance-off that he comes to The Vault every weekend he can, to try out his newly improved moves on other dancers, and to pick up some new ones.
"There are a lot of good dancers here," Parker said. "I get a lot of competition. I've only lost once, but the other guy was one of the best dancers I've ever seen. I come for the music and the vibe."
The Vault has a sort of funky atmosphere. As Cameron Bele, a senior from Fremont High, said, "It feels sort of retro or whatever that word is. I like the way it feels to be in here. I like the mix of all the stuff they put up."
Bele was referring to the flat screen TVs sporting "trippy" kaleidoscope images mounted all around the room as well as a chandelier: "I like the contrast. I never would have thought of it," Bele said.
Mixing up tunes
The Vault is basically one room for dancing and a hall, along with a few niches, filled with couches. But there are also two bars. They sell everything except alcohol (another good point to convince your parents) -- frozen drinks, smoothies, energy drinks, soda, juice, water, anything you want.
Caleb Murchie, an Ogden High junior at the club with his girlfriend, said he wished "The music was a little more varied."
But no fear Caleb, the DJ takes requests. And when no one requests, he plays whatever he wants! The musical repertoire consists of "blocks." A block consists of about six songs of one particular genre. Then, onto a new block of a different genre.
All in all, I LOVE The Vault. The atmosphere is incredible and just so much fun. Even if you're sitting down, you can look around and see "The best laser/lights show in the state of Utah." It's a great, safe place to just hang out and dance with your compadres, or make some new ones.
The Vault, 2401 Kiesel Ave., Ogden (by The Junction), is open 10:00 p.m. to about 1:30 a.m. every Friday and Saturday to anyone 16 years old and up. The going rate for such a grand ol' time is usually $10. But here's a little tip; if you get there before 10:30 p.m., it's only five bucks!
